ZTE AXON w/ Dual-Lens Rear Camera

ZTE has officially announced its first AXON smartphone (or phablet to be exact). AXON is a ZTE sub-brand created mainly for the US market. In fact, at the back of the device, it says "Designed in USA." It's somehow equivalent to the Nubia brand catering to Asian markets. It costs $449.98 off-contract and comes with a two-year warranty from ZTE.

The ZTE AXON is a premium device with a metallic body. It packs a 5.5-inch LCD of Quad HD resolution. Ticking inside it is a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC with 4GB RAM and 32GB of non-expandable storage. It has a dual-lens 13-MP + 2-MP rear camera with dual-LED flash that is able to capture 4K Ultra HD videos. With its camera, you can do refocusing of photos and adding bokeh effects. It also has an 8-MP front camera with a smile-activated shutter. When it comes to music, the ZTE AXON features Hi-Fi audio playback of 32-bit 192KHz audio files. Connectivity-wise, all the basics are covered including 4G LTE support. It has a 3,000 mAh non-removable battery with quick charge support and runs an almost stock Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. It will come in a variety of colors: Phthalo Blue, Ion Gold, and Chromium Silver. If you pre-order it now from ZTE, you'll also get a free TPU case and a pair of JBL earbuds (a $49.99 value).
