Verizon-Exclusive Xperia Z4v: Ultimate Sony Smartphone

The Xperia Z4v is the latest iteration of Sony's flagship smartphone. It is the first smartphone from the company's arsenal to feature a Quad HD display. Having a 5.2-inch IPD LCD with Triluminos display and X-Reality Engine, this translates to a whopping pixel density of 564 ppi. While the Xperia Z3+ or Xperia Z4 is pretty svelte at 6.9 mm, the Xperia Z4v is a little chunky at 8.6 mm, which is still thin.

Another major change with the Sony Xperia Z4v is the addition of Qi wireless charging, which is built in to the smartphone. This is coupled with Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0 tech. The battery of the Xperia Z4v is also a tad larger at 3,000 mAh. Aside from the above-mentioned differences, the Xperia Z4v is very much the same as the current crop of Sony Xperia Z series flagships. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 with 3GB RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. There's also a 20.7-MP Exmor RS rear camera that is able to shoot 4K videos, and a 5-MP front-facing camera for video calls and selfies. It wouldn't be a Sony flagship if it didn't come with water and dust protection. The Sony Xperia Z4v is IP65 and IP68 certified.

The Sony Xperia Z4v also supports EVDO, LTE along with the usual array of connectivity features. Unfortunately, this smartphone is a Verizon-exclusive device and there's no word if it will be available internationally. There's no information as well about its exact release date and pricing either.
