LeTV One, One Pro & Max Are Bezel-Less

LeTV is a Chinese company you may have never heard of but it has recently unveiled three new smartphones (or phablets to be exact) with flagship specs, hoping to give Apple and Samsung a run for their money. Introducing the LeTV One, One Pro and Max. All are Android Lollipop-running devices with LeTV's EUI skin on top, and what makes these three smartphones stand out is their lack of side bezels. They will also be the first series of smartphones to feature a 4GB RAM standard, an orientation-agnostic USB-C port (which debuted on new Apple MacBook), and release its full bill of materials, allowing customers to see exactly how much it costs to make the phones.

LeTV Max is the biggest device of the three. It packs a 6.33-inch display of Quad HD resolution. It is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset with 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. It also packs a 21-MP primary camera, utilizing the new Sony IMX230 sensor with 192-point auto-focus, with OIS, dual-tone LED flash, and a 4-MP UltraPixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options include a rear fingerprint sensor, WiHD connectivity, USB Type-C (with USB 2.0 support only), and LeHI-FI audio, in addition to the more common ones. A 3,500 mAh battery is tucked inside its 8.95 mm thin metal body. Its pricing and release date are not clear yet.

Last but not the least is the LeTV One, which also packs a 5.5-inch display of 1080p Full HD resolution. This one has a body made of plastic instead of metal. It is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek Helio X10 octa-core chip with 3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage. It is also the first commercially available phone sporting this new MediaTek chip, which easily scores over 50,000 on Antutu. It has a 13-MP primary camera with OIS and dual-tone LED flash, and a 5-MP front-facing camera. A 3,000 mAh battery keeps its lights on. Its base model would cost about $240.

The good news is that these smartphones will make it outside of China, most probably in the United States and the Asia-Pacific region. Of course, pricing and model availability will be market dependent. Are you itching to try and get one?
