Omate Unveils Two More Smartwatches

Omate has unveiled two new smartwatches: Racer and Roma. This is in addition to last year's X and Lutetia. Using the same MediaTek Aster chipset (MT2502) that powered last year's models, these two new smartwatches will function mainly as notification watches with basic activity-tracking plus customizable watch faces. Both also offer a week-long battery life thanks to their low-power chipset. Bluetooth, 2G, and Wi-Fi are all supported.

Omate Roma (second from right) features a round watchface with a leather band while the Omate Racer (right-most) looks more sporty with its rubberized bezel and strap. Both smartwatches will run on a proprietary software by Omate (not Android Wear). Pricing for both smartwatches starts at $129 and will be sold by the Richline Group in the US and UK this March.
