Oppo N3 Goes Official w/ a 16-MP Motorized Camera

Oppo has finally taken the wraps off its newest camera-centric smartphone, the N3. The Oppo N3 packs a 16-MP motorized camera that tracks objects as they move. The sensor size of the camera is 1/2.3" and the pixel size is 1.34 micrometer. The lens it uses is provided by Schneider Kreuznach. The motorized camera can rotate up to 206 degrees and moves automatically when shooting panoramas and selfies. The panoramas can be shot up to 64-MP resolution, which is higher than that of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. A fingerprint sensor also comes handy at the back of the smartphone, which can be used to immediately protect the images just with a single swipe. Some of its other camera features include slow shutter, ultra macro mode, after focus, manual control, and shooting in RAW.

Aside from its topnotch camera, the Oppo N3 is also packed with flagships specs like the Snapdragon 801 (MSM8974AA) with a quad-core 2.5GHz Krait 400 chipset, coupled with 2GB RAM and an internal storage of 32GB. With a 5.5-inch display of Full HD resolution, the N3 can be considered a phablet. It measures 161.2 mm x 77 mm x 9.9 mm and weighs rather heavy at 192 grams. At the back of the smartphone is a 3,000 mAh Li-Po battery, which supports VOOC rapid charging tech. It can recharge the smartphone to 75% full in just 30 minutes. The Oppo N3 will also have a dual-SIM variant and will retail for $649 off-contract.
